What are the activity stations?

They vary but, typically, you'll find lightweight playground balls, paddles, hula hoops, even jacks! Instruction and a 'how to' regarding the activity is always available (plus there's a lead instructor and volunteers who are happy to help). Activity stations can accommodate 1-4 people where you can explore and make the activity your own. Feeling a little competitive? No problem. Use the activity to challenge yourself. Want to go a more relaxed route? You can do that, too. Station time lasts for about 4-5 minutes and then you can visit a new activity. If you really like one (and you probably will), you can stay there but please make sure others have a chance to play, too. After approximately 20 minutes of station activity, we transition to group games!

What are the group games?

The games also vary but they are highly amusing while you play alongside others. For example, you could find a fun obstacle course - which may include stepping over a small hurdle (12"), bouncing a ball and then taking a shot at target practice (who cares if you hit it?), then tossing a high-five to your teammate to start them off. Or, you may find a simple relay race or a larger group game that may just remind you of when you were a kid! Ever played 'Moonball?' You'll want to check it out! All the while, you can cheer for your teammates.. but you can cheer for others, too. We encourage support for all! Simple games that are inclusive is how we roll. Joy is our goal!

I'm not all that active. Can I still participate?

Great question! Of course. What's great about the games and activities is that they can be adapted to skill and comfort. Not an athlete? Not a problem. Interested in playing a game of jacks, learning how to hula hoop or maybe even build something (we can't give all our secrets away) and need a place to start? You'll be in the right place and we're always here to help. If you bring a relaxed mindset, you'll have a great time!

What should I bring with me?

Please wear sneakers or other closed-toed shoes and clothes that are comfy and easy to move around in and a water bottle. It's also important to know of any limitations/concerns you may have. Let us know and we'll be happy to work with you.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes. We love that you'd like to come with a friend! Please see the next section for additional details.
